Dry Lubrication
1. Bonded Coatings
Solid film lubricants are often described as "lubricating paints." They are composed of a suitable resin or binder, lubricating solids, additives and a solvent. Applied to properly prepared surfaces in a thin film, the resultant dry coating has high load carrying capacity, corrosion protection and long wear life. Other desired properties such as Oxygen compatibility, fluid resistance, oven cure or air dry, will de-pend upon the specific product.
Applications for solid film lubricants are f.e. adjusting screws, threaded fasteners, self-tapping fasten-ers, thrust washers, gears, bearings, cams, slides, valves, pistons, nuts, bolts, etc.
Aladin ACC 21 | ||
Air-drying synthetic bonded coating for the production of service-free wear protection films. Resistant to age and absolutely dry, for high loads, the film (thickness 5-10 micron) sticks well to all kind of surfaces (metal, rubber, plastics etc.) and offers protection from wear and corrosion. | • for brake linings and clutch linings, under dust | -185°C up to +450°C |
Aladin ACC 19 | ||
Graphite bonded coating for the nuclear industry. ACC 19 for the lubrication of moving parts and friction surfaces, prevents wear and friction oxidation. Meets MIL-L 24131 B, very good adhesion to metals. | • for the lubrication of mechanical parts in the nuclear industry e.g. threads and nuts. | Colour black |
Aladin FC | ||
White Colour bonded coating based on PTFE. Best lubrication properties at high speed, low loads, air drying. Based on a special version of PTFE with an organic binder. For service-free lubrication. Low friction coefficient, superior parting and sliding properties, good adhesion to all materials like metal, rubber, plastics, glass, leather, wood etc., cleanliness. | • for slide faces, slide and roller bearings with high speed | -180°C up to +240°C / +260°C 400ml |
Zink Spray | ||
Metallic zinc-spray on the base of electrochemical active zinc in combination with other protecting metal pigments. | • for corrosion prevention e.g. after welding | Only available as Spray: |
Zink G Spray | ||
Metallic zinc-spray with high and light shining. | • for maintaining corrosion prevention of damaged places on zinc plated surfaces | Only available as Spray: |
2. Lubrication Powders
MOLYDUVAL Lubrication Powders for dry lubrication, if liquid lubricants are no longer sufficient for reasons of extreme temperatures (high heat or cold), in excessively dusty conditions, in vacuum conditions, for the threated joints of oxygen apparatus, for precision instruments, calculating machines, optical instruments, where lifetime lubrication is required. In addition MOLYDUVAL Lubrication Powders are an effective component of self lubricat-ing materials as sintered metals, thermoplastics and antifriction paints (Bonded Coatings, see above).
Hymol | ||
Purest natural molybdenum disulfide as an efficient dry lubricant at extreme conditions and, depending on grade and with normal exposure to air at temperatures from 185°C to +350°C. Used when liquid lubricants are no longer sufficient for reasons of high heat or cold. | • For lubrication in dusty surroundings or in vacuum | -185°C up to 450°C |
Hymol S | ||
Same as Hymol, but higher fineness | • Same as Hymol | -185°C up to 450°C |
Hymol XS | ||
Same as Hymol S, but more fine | • Same as Hymol S | Same as Standard Pulver fein |
